Grow some herbs on your table for you or guests to add to salads, sandwiches, pizza, soup, or whatever. Chives, garlic, or garlic chives can be planted in the center with shorter herbs around the outside. Salad greens can also be planted around the outside.
This pot has garlic in the middle with red cabbage and arugula planted around the outside. Garlic and chives can be harvest by cutting a few of the leaves down to 1/2 inch. Cabbage does not have to form a head before it is edible. Just snip off some leaves of cabbage, lettuce, arugula, or other salad greens or herbs. Be sure to leave two to four leaves so the plant will regrow.
