Why would you eat flowers?
Edible flowers? Several flowers are edible. If that sounds strange you may not realize that cauliflower, broccoli, and artichokes are among the flower buds we eat. Violets, pansies, nasturtiums, roses, calendula, and squash blossoms (too much zucchini? Eat the flowers and prevent more squash from forming) are among those that are edible. Properly identify the plant – botanical name is most accurate. Be sure that flowers used for eating have not been sprayed with anything not approved for edible plants. Edible does not always mean that you will find it tasty, Try a little first and see what you think.
