Beneficial insects are insects which provide some benefit such as pollination of plants or insect or pest control.
Bees, butterflies, wasps, ground beetles, lady bugs, and lacewings are among the beneficial insects you may see in your yard. With some the young provide as much or more pest control as the adults. Although spiders are not an insect they are also beneficial since they eat insects.
